Brom suggests all medical schools should teach integrative medicine and warns that the focus on treating disease rather than promoting health will “eventually sink all departments of health which have instead become departments of disease. ”

“Health clinics have become disease clinics and health practitioners have become disease practitioners. The focus on disease has moved doctors away from an essential calling -- the focus on health. ”

SFI says a host of renowned global and local health practitioners and academics will speak at the integrative congress, including Prof Con Stough from Australia, Dr Jonathon Lee Reay from UK’s Teeside University, and among others, James Lech, Prof Tim Noakes, Prof Marius Smuts and Dr Helen Muir from SA.
